Mr. Mack is currently Principal Trumpet in the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and founder of the Rodney Mack "Philadelphia Big Brass." He can be heard as soloist and principle trumpet on more than 30 different orchestral recordings, as well as his own albums, on Decca, Naxos, Koch International, and Albany. This is one of the college's most revered instrumental ensembles. The group boasts world class performances across the world before audiences of thousands including ambassadors, diplomats, and foreign royalty. With its rich tradition, the Morehouse College Jazz Ensemble seeks to fill its ranks with new talent this year.

The ensemble is open to Brass Players, Woodwind Players, Rhythm Section Players, and vocalists. All students interested in this exciting opportunity should sign up for an audition at the Brawley Hall Bandroom between November 5th and November 14th. Auditions will take place at the Band Rehearsal Room in Brawley Hall on November 15th from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Membership is open to students of all majors and areas of concentration.
